Autumn Blues : revisited

Ready for the bonfireHere’s “that piece” again!

It’s been cut down in size to a 10 inch square (finished size) and  I’m still trying to interpret a pile of leaves ready for the bonfire:

I’ve made double sided leaves, which are still to be attached, and hang free.

As the challenge was to include some Angelina,I opted for a glint in the sky,and the promise of flames underneath the pile of leaves.

  1. Hi I am a quilter of sorts and I love what you have done here. I could never do it so am in awe.
So sorry to hear of your loss. You were so fortunate to have so much time together and I am sorry your husband did not get to enjoy the outdoor area as planned. I love the heart blocks, aren’t bloggers grand?

  2. I have received so much comfort from bloggers….both practically (the Caring hearts blocks) and through private messages, that it revives my faith in woman/man kind.
The “media” is full of doomsday, and forgets to remind us of the caring souls “out there” who go quietly on with their lives and give hope to others.
My darling man would have celebrated his 75th birthday tomorrow……………he gave so much to me over the last 48 years.
