Photos on Canvas

These prints are photos from my 2008 visit to Japan…..and are printed on Artist’s canvas.

One photo is of the gates of a Teahouse in a Tokyo park.

The other is Torii (gates) in a Shinto shrine precinct in Kobe

This canvas was in a book of prepared canvas …..NO problem printing on it…….But the Blumenthal prepared Artist canvas is a disaster in my Epson printer.

If you look closely you can see the canvas texture

A theme in the current Postmark’dArt Round 11 swap is Gates!

I felt that my printer did not accurately represent the true colours, so by using Derwent Inktense Watercolour pencils, I endeavoured to increase the colour intensity.

I am also considering the addition of further fibres  to add definition.

Come back “later” and view the results
