I think I can finally say that I’ve cought up on my commitments to Postmark’dArt and PostCardMail Art!
(Big sigh of relief)
A week or so back I mailed off my ELEMENTS: Earth and have heard that some have arrived at their new homes.
For these cards, I formed a stencil of the Kanji symbol for “Earth” and using gold Lumiere paint, applied the symbol on a background (roughly) representing a landscape.
My BRIDGES cards were also mailed out: For this I chose to use the bridge in Richmond, Tasmania, acknowledged as the “oldest bridge in Australia”
Because my printer absolutely refused to print on canvas, I printed on some fabric, overlaid it with bridal tulle then machine embellished the outline of bridge and shadows.
Not what I had originally planned, but maybe next time I can beat my Epson into submission!
Then there were the “Ugly” squares of fabric, sent off to two unsuspecting ladies, with the mission to add “some recognisable part of the fabric to a Post Card and mail the results to me.
I hope I included enough “sweetener” for them to comply.
