The woes of a fabriholic!

The house may have looked tidy when I left on vacation, but chaos was lurking in my fabric bins.

For too long,it has been too easy to grab the required fabric, and when finished with, toss it into storage without thought to colour ways and shades.
Yesterday, I finally tackled the problem:

Now my quilting cottons are stacked according to the primary colours and occupy a couple of shelves in an under utilised cupboard.

And I still have two other “bins” of “After 5” type fabric (my stash for CQ) to sort through.

One 80 litre plastic storage bin is (nearly) full of  cotton scraps waiting to be cut into “itsy bits” to try a couple of Confetti method quilts.

I guess I should admit that I’m a compulsive fabric hoarder! Is that the first step to recovery?

Today,I was reminded that I needed make some themed postcards for Postmark’dArt.
The trouble is, I’m sure I did preliminary work on my FISH theme before I went on holidays. and now…
I CAN’T FIND them!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 I can find the remnants  of the fabric I used, and I’m sure I had fused the shapes to the Fast2Fuse backing, all reading for embellishing.

But Where, O where have I stashed them?

Another clean up is scheduled for tomorrow I think
