No matter how carefully I “plan” my days, there is ALWAYS a hiccup that sends my (proposed)plans “a over t”.
Wednesday I spent three hours with a ‘specialist’ attempting to come to terms with not only a new lap top, but also the 2012 version of Embird.
(What is Embird (r) I hear you mumble??
EMBIRD (to quote an online Australian provider)
The Basic Embird program resizes, splits, edits, displays, prints and converts embroidery designs. It works in two modes: Embird Manager and Embird Editor. There are several optional plug-in programs and alphabets available for Embird, expanding its capabilities with digitizing, lettering, cross stitch designs, conversion of TrueType fonts into embroidery, etc. .”
Embird 2012 was released only in the last month or so, and is having regular and multiple “updates” to the program.
ADD to that equation, of someone (me) upgrading from a Vista system to a Windows7 system…and that “someone” is totally ignorant of machine embroidery format, and you have total chaos.
I agree totally, that when one embraces a new system/s ( in my case)
it becomes a really big ASK……learning HOW to do it all.
Today, between having unexpected visitors and other unplanned diversions, I’m seriously wonderingIF I will ever come to grips with the situation.
YES! I’m waffling!
I had planned on putting Wednesday’s lessons to practical use: transferring new downloads/files to an USB stick in order to use the USB in my “My memory” files and PRODUCING stitched resultson the MC350E
It DIDN’T Happen.. But at least now, I KNOW steps NOT to make.
Maybe (with luck) I might make more definite progress in the next day or so.
But, I admit: the stitching I planned on accomplishing DID NOT happen.
A few creepers and plants received a “short back and sides” in the garden, the floors were vacuumed and steam mopped…….
productive results in the embroidery department just didn’t happen.
Maybe, “another Friday”??
Frantic?Frenzied? NOT today!
