Shoe box rescue kits

Today I had a visit from Betty G from the Crazy Quilters of Caboolture.
She came to drop off filled shoe boxes and extra goodies for my Project  “Shoe Box Rescue Kits” being done in conjunction with Connected ( a registered Brisbane based charity)

Not only had the ladies supplied the things that I had suggested, but also there were included craft things to help those inclined pick up some fabric fibre or threads to start again.
There are heaps of knitting and crochet needles; Crochet  and knitting threads; laces, braids, elastic!
And hidden in one box I found some light reading, plus a choccie or two.

I believe that this group is prepared to “adopt” Connected  (also on FaceBook) as an ongoing  project.
I have promised to visit them shortly and tell them more about Connected. Hopefully I can persuade Craig  (our chief guardian angel) to accompany me…because he is so enthusiastic and positive.
