Decisions! Decisions!

As a member of the online group SouthernCrossCrazies I have committed to a Needlecase Round Robin.
My initial plan was to construct an 8by5 inch rectangle and later to use it as a focal point for the blocks I’m working on as part of the CQJP2014 project.
However, as often happens with me and Crazy Quilting the CQ elves take over and I end up with a block that is NOTHING like originally planned!

And the above is what resulted! NOTHING remotely similar to the creams and browns I am using in the 6 inch blocks!

So, I tried again, and this is what the pixies came up with: at least the colours are more fitting!

8by5 naked block

Now to pack it off on its travels through far north Queensland and the mid north coast of NSW. When the block arrives back home in about four months time, I will share photos of the embellished block with you.

In the meantime—what do I DO with the blue and burgundy block?(Make a needlecase of it?)

  1. I like the second block for the needlecase. I’m sure you will think of something good for the first block.
