Hit the road Jack !

CQ styled postcards

CQ styled postcards

Finally! my white on white postcards are ready to hit the road and travel to their new homes.
Three cards feature needle felting as the main component, whilst the other three are crazy quilted and embellished.
Yes! This year I’m returning to CQ after some five or so years away from it.
And, oh dear! I’m finding it a struggle to get good results with my hand stitching but I know that will improve the more I practice.

As I mentioned in a previous posting, I have been surprised at how NON white the wool and silk that I needle felted turned out to be.Silk needle felted back groundNeedle felted back ground

The photos certainly demonstrate the pinkish brown tones throughout the two cards.
I also machine embroidered the chrysanthemum featured on the needle felted background onto a cotton twill, which thankfully remains WHITE

  1. Lucky recipients 🙂

  2. All 4 are fabulous, Maureen.
