Lend your creativity for a creature cause! Quilt Festival’s Pet Postcard Project is back for its third and final year, and we need you to help us end the project with a bark…er…bang! How can you help? •Make as many 4” x 6” postcards as you would like to be featured and sold at International Quilt Festival this fall. Postcards should not be more than 1/8” in thickness. •We encourage animal-themed fabric postcards, but welcome and appreciate other themes as well. Create your postcards in any style and with any techniques and materials you would like to use! •On the back side of the postcard, please sign your name and title your postcard (contact information is optional). •Mail as many fabric postcards as you would like, but please place them in a padded envelope (so they will arrive in good condition). •Mail to the address below no later than Friday, October 17, 2014. Please note: this is a receive-by date! We will be accepting postcards during Festival as well, but would like to have a large starting bank of postcards, so please mail as many in advance as you can. Mail to: Festival Pet Postcard Project 7660 Woodway, Ste. 550 Houston, TX 77063 Please help us spread the word! Share your fabric postcards on your blog, website, or in social media (using the hashtag #festivalpetproject). To see larger examples of fabric postcards received in years past, click here. And if you’d like a little help getting started, see a tutorial HERE! Once again this year, we will be selling donated fabric postcards during Festival for $20 each, with all proceeds going directly to Houston-based animal adoption and rescue organization, Friends For Life. I thought I’d share this link with those of you who love doing postcards. Quilt Festival in Houston is calling for postcards of Pets. It’s for a good cause. Anyway, check this out and see if it catches your fancy! http://us2.campaign-archive2.com/?u=3198efad1b46f384628234749&id=7a14375067&e=d8614acd42
