Reverse of Card 1Here are the final tags for PCMA….photos are due to be displayed by

midnight Wednesday evening  CA. time.

Four tags---four techniques Reverse of tags showing pocket containing notes on construction So this is where I’m at ! Four tags and four different techniques.

Number 1 is very simple and consists of “paper fabric” constructed a while back. It was built of layers of tissue wrapping paper, bits of a paper d’oyley and a motif cut from a paper serviette, with a cheesecloth fabric used for a foundation and the layers “cemented” with an acrylic craft glue applied rather liberally.

Reverse of Card 1Here is the reverse of Tag #1 showing the black tulle pocket which holds another tag, detailing how the Tag was constructed.

Next Tag is the Butterfly Tag, featuring  fussy cut butterflies ( from a commercial fabric ) and they are super imposed over a piece of milliner’s mesh with sequins and beads for embellishment. Again a pocket has been added on the reverse side.

3-Scan-004 4-Scan-001Tag 3  was built up using white Xpandaprint paste and a daisy stencil to imprint into the uncured paste. Then a heat gun was used to ” set ” the paste. Xpandaprint can be coloured by mixing acrylic paints like the Jacquard Lumiere either into the paste or just paint the surface….because I planned on using Glitz Spritz Spray I left the paste white for contrast .

The glitz appears as a copper back ground

There is actually a coppery glint in the indentations in the daisies. My apologies for not being able to make it more obvious.

There is still another couple of incomplete tags. But they are for another day.

  1. They are really beautiful!

  2. They’re lovely
