Hello and welcome to KenMaursCorner…….. my little corner of southeast Queensland, where I fill my time attempting to create a little beauty with fabric and fibres.
Apart from the fabric side of my life I’m also enjoying creating a new garden….come on in and visit with me.
Hi Maureen, thanks for your comment on my blog. I would love to swap a postcard with you. Please email me on lindarobertus at hotmail dot com to exchange the details! Cheers, Linda

All this time and I did not know you had a blog… It is delightful to see the cards you are receiving!. Love hearing about the rain fall on the “rock”, are there photos some where about it? Look forward to seeing more about your garden! hugs, v

I am so in awe of your works, I was embarrassed to show mine. I have been blogging for at least six years….but they have been tiny steps both blogwise and stitch wise

Hi Maureen,
I think you might have stitched a lovely little green heart and sent it to Christchurch after the earthquake last February. It has been hanging along with the others in Canterbury Museum since September 2011. Today, a few days after the anniversary of the February quake, they gave those hearts away to the people of Canterbury. My little 19-month old boy chose your heart – he has good taste. Thank you for you care.
Warm regards,
Esther Smith

Thank you for your message. I have many NZ friends and, I’ll be honest, I needed to do “something” to show my solidarity with my NZ “cousins”
I felt so frustrated that I couldn’t be more “hands on” in helping.
I made two green hearts, and I am blessed that your son chose one of mine.
I hope that my love and my caring give you strength to go forward.
Sincerely,
Maureen
